Description:

Most dentists want a simple method to assess the temporomandibular joint. Doppler auscultation is a non-invasive and inexpensive test to relate joint surface noise to various types of internal derangements. This workshop is designed to teach Doppler technique and interpretation through the development of clinical skills. Software enhanced interpretation will be demonstrated to improve diagnostic accuracy.

Learning Objectives:

• Learn how a Doppler can quickly and simply diagnose joint damage.
• Apply the three steps of Doppler auscultation for accurate joint assessment.
• Learn how software enhanced diagnosis can be used in the clinical setting.
• See how software enhanced diagnosis can aid in staff training and patient education about their temporomandibular condition.
